On goals that never end...
Hello from Ubud Bali!
No YouTube video this week.
I had a video ready to upload, but I did not publish it because it wasn’t the direction I wanted to take my channel in.
However, I have some great videos planned for the next weeks that I’m so excited for you to see.
We’ve been conditioned to think every goal needs an end point.
But what if instead we set goals without an end point?
Why?
Because…
… they remind us that life isn’t a checklist.
… they remind us to focus less on what we’re chasing and more on the process itself.
But most importantly, these goals become part of who we are. They shape us, not because we achieve them, but because we keep showing up for them. They aren’t something to cross off, but they are a way of living.
What’s something you could dedicate your whole life to without ever needing to finish?
If there were no finish lines, what would you still pursue just for the love of it?
📚 Book I read and recommendations
The 5 Types of Wealth by Sahil Bloom was one of the books I read this week. I loved the concept, and I think it can be life-changing if the right person reads it at the right time. But in my case, it felt like a combination of things I already knew.
The DOSE Effect by T.J. Power gives simplified explanations of dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins while giving you advice on how to boost them naturally. Similar to The 5 Types of Wealth by Sahil Bloom, it felt like a combination of things I already knew. The advice it gives is very basic. However, for those who haven’t read anything on this subject, this book is a great introduction.
This week, I started reading the second and third books in the Harry Potter series, The Chamber of Secrets and The Prisoner of Azkaban. I thought both were incredible, and I spent the whole weekend glued to my Kindle. The build-up and payoff in The Prisoner of Azkaban are mind-blowing, and The Chamber of Secrets had me hooked throughout the entire book. I’m so excited to continue reading the rest of the series.
If you want to keep up with what books I’m reading, follow my GoodReads!
💬 Thought-Provoking Quote”
“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
