Hello from Todos Santos!
Almost everyone has a bucket list of places they want to travel to.
But few people have a list of places that they don’t want to go.
What places don’t interest you at all?
Why not? What stories have you told yourself about them? What might you learn if you went anyway?
You don’t have to book a flight tomorrow. But the point of this is to stay open. Sometimes the places you resist the most end up teaching you the most.
Something I learned from the Surrender Experiment is that growth and life in general don’t always follow our preferences.
📚Books I read and recommendations
I only read one book this week, Morning Star by Pierce Brown. It’s the third book out of 7 in the Red Rising series. If you like sci-fi, fast-paced books, and cool world-building, I recommend reading it. However, knowing the people who subscribe to this newsletter, I wouldn’t recommend it to them. I personally have been loving it. It’s a great story with great characters, and the whole series itself gets better the more you read it.
💬 Thought-Provoking Quote
“It seems that the more places I see and experience, the bigger I realize the world to be. The more I become aware of, the more I realize how relatively little I know of it, how many places I have still to go, how much more there is to learn. Maybe that’s enlightenment enough—to know that there is no final resting place of the mind, no moment of smug clarity. Perhaps wisdom, at least for me, means realizing how small I am, and unwise, and how far I have yet to go.”
